Karen McVicker and I became fast friends during a mission trip orientation in Hawaii back in 2007. We've been best friends ever since. She's always up to doing something spontaneous and exciting. I have always been able to count on her through thick and thin. We're sisters separated at birth.
Melinda Holland is the other half of double trouble. We're only about a year and a half apart. She is the bestest in Alabama and a talented photographer and mommy to two troublemaker nephews of mine.
Ly-Minh Pham is my oldest sister! She's kind, gentle and also very smart like a dictionary. We used to ride the train together to work, because our workplaces were right across the street from each other. One of my favorite memories of Minh is when she threw Melinda and me a naan party at her apartment (we literally celebrated eating naan).
Aireen Tib and I officially met in Pohnpei on a mission trip back in 2007. We were housemates out on the Islands. Aireen and I would skype almost daily back when Cyril and I were just friends and I would take pics of Cyril from his brother's facebook and send them to her. "What do you think of this guy..." She always gave me the best advice about Cyril, because she just thought he was an angel and had a face of a model.
Deejay Walayat Dason is Cyril's brother's wife. She is always someone I can count on to talk to and organize things with. She has such good taste in everything and just totally 'gets me.' Deejay is one of the most understanding and patient people I have ever met. Ash (Cyril's brother) is such a blessed guy.
Jacy Yoshimoto and I are dental school classmates. She told me that when she first met me she thought, 'I could never be close friends with this girl.' Flashforward to third year of dental school and I now always save Jacy a seat next to me in class. She is so level-headed and also funny.
Charlene Veranunt is also my dental school classmate. We spend hours on end talking to each other instead of studying. We first bonded over our wrist pain in Anatomy lab. We're so similar in so many ways it's kind of disturbing. Charlene is one of the best storytellers I have ever met.
Min Young Jo is my korean twin! She is the happiest most extroverted person I know. I love Min because she is like no one else I have ever met. I always can count on her to cheer me up and make me laugh. She has been so good with all my TOP SECRET secrets. She knows when to have a good time and when to be serious.
Ash Dason is my older and only brother. He is currently working as a very skilled Dentist when he is not spending time trying to make his hair reach the sky. He is happily married to his beautiful wife Deejay (bridesmaid) in Loma Linda with their dog Olive.
Christopher Abraham is one of my oldest and best friends from our times in Loma Linda Children’s Center. Chris and his family have always had a big special place in my heart. Chris is someone that always says just what I need to cheer me up and I will always be thankful for that.
Lesley Aseer is my first cousin, husband of Nancy and their two sons Nicholas and Ian. Lesley has always been eager to help whenever I needed him. My favorite memories with Lesley and his family is every December going to Universal Studios in Hollywood, which is a yearly tradition.
Lesley Rollakanti is someone that has always been in my life and I have no memory of him not being in my life. Lesley is such an easy guy to like and my favorite memories of Lesley are when we were really young and he would seriously sleep over our house for sometimes a week.
Adley Dason is my first cousin who is currently a Medical student at LLU. When he is not studying for class you may find him rock climbing, drawing, cooking or destroying me in table tennis. He is very talented in so many ways and because we are close in age we have always liked similar things.
Steev Yovan is another cousin of mine. He is planning to move from Washington D.C. to attend the Physical Therapy program this summer. He is very passionate about soccer and a very talented tennis player. Some of my most fun memories are when he would visit our house during the summer.
Brian Bazan is my friend from La Sierra University. I first met Brian in Living Truth Sabbath School. He is currently studying Radiation Technology at LLU one floor below where I am taking my classes. Brian is a very talented videographer and has been there for me when I needed encouragement.
Andy Pham is my friend and Rachel’s older brother living in South Carolina. When he is not running epic 2k’s with Rachel with toilet paper finish lines he is being a wonderful husband and father to his lovely children.
